Wonderful

Adult only, such a dream! Huge comfortable beds, good location (walking to all the beaches doesn't take long), breakfast has everything you need. Relaxed atmosphere at the pool because it's always quiet. Watching the monkeys there is fun, but don't leave anything on the balcony, they will take it.

Loudest AC I've ever heard, TV switches on automatically whenever you enter the room, also after a loss of electricity, which happened 3 times while we were there (at night). Who even needs a TV in such a gorgeous place?

Fantastic place in Railay

Location, swim up pool, big comfortable bed high standard of fittings and furnishings, helpful staff and great breakfast

The room was big and nice :)! The bed gigantic which we loved.

The swimmingpool was Indeed a bit dirty as described by other guest reviews. So didn’t swim in the pool

Exceptional

This is a truly unique place to stay. The hotel is located in a secluded bay that can only be reached by water, surrounded by breathtaking cliffs and real jungle. It feels like a charming little village. The hotel itself is very cozy, with warm wooden tones. We stayed in a corner room with a bathtub and a balcony, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Huge thanks to Bee from the reception—she is truly the soul of this place! She gave us a warm welcome and explained everything in detail, especially about the monkeys. Some are mischievous troublemakers, while others are friendly and peaceful—we ended up meeting both kinds! The monkeys can be a nuisance for the locals, but for hotel guests, their daily balcony run was quite an entertaining sight. However, be careful—make sure to keep your balconies closed! On the photos, you can even see both—a friendly one, calmly munching on leaves, and a cheeky troublemaker. We really enjoyed our walks to Phra Nang Beach. We set off around sunrise at 6:40 AM and, both times, we encountered a monitor lizard along the way. The path runs along a sheer cliff with mesmerizing stalactites—an unforgettable sight. Breakfasts were delightful! I got hooked on the salad bar and the incredibly delicious nut dressing. In the evening, there was a live music concert, and at night, the hotel grounds were beautifully illuminated with Avatar-themed lights, creating a magical atmosphere. The hotel has water boilers available for refilling bottles.

Great!

Had a great stay here. Bed was massive and so soft! We slept so well here. Probably best shower we had while in Thailand. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room led straight into the pool which that was nice. Good value.

Relaxed and perfect stay

I loved everything about this place! It was so cosy and very near to the East Pier. Quiet and relaxing.. The room was so spacious and balcony was superb. Bathroom was extremely excellent and perfect. Breakfast spread was I loved everything about Avatar! The staffs were so lovely and helpful.

I didn't like the monkeys who loved to wonder around the balcony. But there was nothing the staffs could do about it and they would warn you upon checking in. Grateful for the warning though.

Lovely place to stay

Spacious room, comfortable and clean, lots of amenities like a fridge, umbrellas, mosquito machine, hairdryer, safe etc. Wasn't a huge fan of the toilet being in one little room, the shower being in another little room, then the sink being in the bedroom. Would have preferred a proper separate bathroom. There was a balcony and we were warned to lock it as the monkeys know how to get in! You see from your room directly into the room across and vice versa, so make sure to pull your curtains across if you're getting changed!

The pool could’ve been cleaner, there were lots of little floating bugs and leaves. The floating pool chairs didn't really work, we tried to get on them a few times but couldn't balance on them at all. We had breakfast provided, it was not very vegetarian friendly, there was lots of meat. Would have been nice to have some fried eggs or baked beans.

I absolutely loved my stay at Avatar Railay! I slept so well—the only sounds at night were birds chirping and the soothing rain if it happened to fall. Everything was perfect and spotless, from the rooms to the common areas. The swimming pool is a great addition, and the breakfast in the morning was a lovely touch. If you're looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Railay, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

However, in my opinion, the only downside is that it's insanely overpriced. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!

Luxurious hotel in Railay

Loved the setting - could swim right up to our room. Free drinking water, umbrellas and towels to borrow too - they had thought of everything. A 5 min walk to the pier/main strip so nice and quiet and tucked away. Felt very safe and the bed was really comfortable and luxurious. Railay was truly a highlight of our trip and we were greatful to have such a stunning hotel to stay in.

The staff weren't very attentive. When checking in, we arrived too early which was fair enough, but we weren't told this; we just copied what other guests doing in reception (leaving big bags there) as the communication was non existent. When we did come back at the right time, we were shown straight to our room with no one really explaining when/where breakfast was, when the pool was open, or to be careful of the monkeys which frequented our balcony and messed around with our washing/anything left out there. A heads-up would have been good for that one Finally, our check out experience wasn't great either. There were 2 members of staff there, but someone else had to check our room before we could leave, and we were stood waiting for well over 10 mins before we could leave. Also a tip for anyone staying here - bring mozzy repellent! From all the places we've been to on our Thailand trip, I got bitten here the most!!

I loved the location of the property. It was close to the beaches and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

There were a lot of monkeys and our room was only half cleaned. My bed was made but my friends wasn't.
